I watch a lot of sermons, and it is becoming more and more that sermons I watch end up being like 80 percent personal illustrations, 10 percent scripture, and 10 percent scripture explanation. and I am just curious what most other ministers are at with this, because personally mine tends to be flipped this 80 percent scripture, and scripture explanation and 20 percent illustration only if the passage needs to be illustrated. not that either is bad, I am just curious where most of us fall with those percentages and why. |
